Coon season!
«
on:
August 23, 2008, 07:47:27 PM »
Coon season is starting soon, and it will be my first time out. I was wondering if there is any experienced coon hunters out there that wouldnt mind taking a noob out. I have my own hound, I trained her a little bit with a road kill coon tail but I did all the (little bit) training on my own with no help, so I dont know how she would do. But she can be left behind for the first go around if anyone could help me out. Im in the Spanaway/Graham area.

some people just don't know what they are missing.
I treed three the other night in my Dodge ram. Scared teh hell out of the wife, but up the tree they went. Not sure which is louder, a baying hound or a screeching wife. LOL

Fred,
I'm with you, in all my years of calling, here, I never had a raccoon show up, day or night calling.
If I could call them, it would make my nuisance wildlife control job a million times easier.
I think about you hound guys, every time I trap another 'coon... I've put down 47 of 'em this year.
